Ingredients in cleaning products

Along with emissions from factories and cars, cleaning and body care products are now among the leading causes of pollution and health problems associated with poor air quality. Who are the culprits? Volatile organic compounds like carbon, chlorine or sulphur emissions. The latter are suspected of irritating the airways and causing several respiratory problems. Also, once released into the atmosphere, they form ground-level ozone, causing smog. In addition, a scientific study out of Norway, published in the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine in February 2018, showed that women who used cleaning products (at home or professionally) every day for decades had greatly diminished lung capacity later in life. According to the study, the daily use of cleaners was the equivalent of smoking up to two packs of cigarettes a day for 20 years!

KITCHEN CLEANER Its purpose: An effective degreaser, adapted to the residues left behind on kitchen surfaces, ATTITUDE’s Kitchen Cleaner is ideal for counters and different cooktops and stovetops, including ceramic glass. It cuts through oily surfaces and is tough on cooking residues. Its action: Kitchen Cleaner contains the same surfactants as All Purpose Cleaner, plus lauryl glucoside (another surfactant). Their combination emulsifies grease and lifts cooking fats from surfaces. 	WINDOW AND MIRROR CLEANER Its purpose: High-performance spray cleaner that leaves no visible trace. Spray on and then wipe off with a dry cloth for a sparkling finish. Good for the whole family. Its action:  Contains non-ionic surfactants whose combination allows a quick action and zero streaks (thanks to the solvent-surfactant balance). BATHROOM CLEANER Its purpose: Safe on all bathroom surfaces: ceramic tiles, tubs, vinyl shower curtains, shower doors and toilet bowls. Its action: The more acidic pH makes it easier to dislodge soap residues and stubborn grime. Bathroom Cleaner contains citric acid, which makes it more soluble and quickly lifts mold and mildew, limescale and soap scum. 	DAILY SHOWER CLEANER Its purpose: This product was developed to eliminate and prevent soap scum and water stains from forming. Simply spray on after every shower for daily maintenance. No scrubbing, rinsing or wiping required! To remove accumulated soap residue, spray on and then remove excess with a squeegee or cloth. Its action: Daily Shower Cleaner contains sodium gluconate, a chelating agent that neutralizes water ions. FLOOR SURFACES, TILES AND WOOD CLEANER Its purpose: This product cleans all floor surfaces without leaving streaks. Dilute it with water for washing floors or use full-concentration in your toilet bowl. Perfect for homes with young children or pets. Its action: This cleaner is more concentrated than the other products since it is made to be diluted. This is also why it contains chelating agents. 5 tips for a healthier cleaning

Look for the following on the label:

1. Hypoallergenic.
2. Mostly made from mineral and plant-based ingredients. ATTITUDE's surfactants are made of renewable ingredients from vegetable sources (glucose and fatty alcohols).
3. Free of ethoxylated surfactants contaminated with carcinogenic chemicals (1,4-dioxane and ethylene oxide) according to the EWG.
4. Low VOC concentration.
5. Free of preservatives like parabens, formaldehyde and formaldehyde-releasing agents or any other substances found in the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986.
